A little more about me.

Why Product Design?

With a BA in Graphic Arts and years of experience in Digital Design, creativity has always been part of who I am.

But somewhere down the line, I wanted to understand the why - I wanted to know how people think, behave and make decisions. There’s never one right answer, and I live for that grey area. I wanted to take subjective answers and turn them into objective solutions!

What’s my design mantra?

I believe the best design comes from being willing to explore, challenge assumptions and get things wrong along the way. Sometimes, mistakes become insights, and insights become solutions.

Be open to learning from everyone and everything! There’s always another perspective, another question, another way of seeing things.

What’s my design superpower(s)?

I’m good at reading teammates and understanding what they need. I can often sense when to give people space to do their thing - and when to step in and help.

With UI, I have a natural eye for spotting inconsistencies and accessibility issues. I can spot a visual difference or an inaccessible contrast ratio from a mile away!

What’s my non-design superpower(s)?

I love animals. I’ve been known to distract large birds from hunting nearby mice, rescue wasps from drowning in the pool, and release every spider I find.

I’ve also volunteered with animals, so you could say I’m professionally committed to helping the little creatures without a voice! 🐓 🐖 🐄

What’s the core tools I use?

Figma (always), Adobe Creative Suite, Storybook, Azure, Atlassian, Notion, Avion, Lookback, Office 365… Plus a growing toolkit of AI tools for research synthesis and data analysis.
